Another classic TV week. We just haven't had time for movies lately, so thank heavens for classic TV on DVD. Viewed this week: Man from U.N.C.L.E., Hawaii Five-O and That Girl.

Classic TV week: Man from U.N.C.L.E., Hawaii Five-O, CHiPs (hey, I consider it a classic!) and Captain & Tennille, with humor so bad it's painful, yet we gleefully watch, anyway!

Beware, My Lovely (1952)
Ida Lupino, Robert Ryan
Helen Gordon (Lupino) comes to regret hiring what turns out to be a violent psychotic to do some odd jobs around her house. I'm not terribly familiar with his career, but Ryan sure made a convincing psycho.
May 9 - May 15:
We only got to Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Hawaii Five-O this week, due to extreme busy-ness. It's pretty much going to be that way at least until after OHANA Luau at the Lake in late June, which is why I've put our Netflix membership on hold until July.
May 2 - May 8:
The Ambushers (1967)
Dean Martin, Senta Berger, Janice Rule
An online discussion put me in the mood to watch a Matt Helm film, so I chose this one for Cinco de Mayo, since it's set in and around Acapulco. Goofy spy fun involving a spaceship that can only be flown by women, intrigue at a brewery that looks suspiciously like Dos Equis and of course Dean Martin!
