I've featured Mary Ann's recipes here before, but, in honor of our filming our own tribute to Gilligan's Island this past weekend, I made a couple of recipes from Mary Ann's Gilligan's Island Cookbook, including this Island Native Pie:



I had a blast making all kinds of dishes from Mary Ann's cookbook and Beachbum Berry's Taboo Table, among others. I enjoy cooking for parties and gatherings because people usually really appreciate it and I find it to be a low-stress creative outlet. I'm not trying to cook professionally or be the best cook ever, so I don't worry about every little thing being perfect. It's fun to entertain!
