I created a new appetizer for the next episode of "Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en," plus I put together nibbles for visiting friends, but did I get pictures of any of that? Of course not. Therefore, here is the rice I made to go with grilled chicken Sunday:



This was brown rice and therefore took FOREVER to cook. I typically do brown rice in the steamer, but I wanted to cook it in a tropical broth, which doesn't work in the steamer. It was eventually good! Even better were the Cha Cha Pups which will be featured in our next episode!
