
Our "Asian inspired" happy hour this week featured my take on the humblest of ingredients, peanut butter:

We have a freezer full of Kahiki Foods eggrolls, so I decided to bust some out for happy hour, which caused me to suddenly want to bump up the Asian quotient in everything we were having, including peanut butter on celery. I added a lot of ginger, some soy sauce, honey, cayenne pepper and a little salt and it really did add a fun note to the old classic. Some oysters and mai tais completed the spread and I felt we had an Asian happy hour that Larry and Louise Tate would have been proud to serve!
