January 8 was Elvis Presley's 75th birthday and we had our annual party in his honor!



We had the usual peanut butter and banana sandwiches and banana pudding (which I was particularly happy with this year--buying a quality cornstarch makes a big difference), with the addition of bacon. We discovered that Elvis liked to keep bowls of bacon around for snacking, so I fried up a few slices, then used the bacon grease to fry the PB&B sandwiches. It was incredibly decadent, but so yummy. I think Elvis would have approved.
