This pork pie is a holiday tradition in Paul's family. I decided to surprise him with it recently and added Xmas cheer!

I'd been served this pie for years at Paul's mom's house (okay, not this exact pie, but you know what I mean) when I finally got the bright idea to ask her for the recipe. It's easy to make--just a little time consuming, since you simmer the ground pork, potatoes and onion for an hour before you pour it into the pie crust (along with ground cloves, sage, cinnamon, salt and pepper). Not a last-minute meal, but worth the wait!
