We were on our own for Thanksgiving at the Velveteen Lounge this year, but that didn't keep us from cooking up a storm!

Not coming from a "food family," I was amazed when I started celebrating holidays with Paul's family and realized they often had more desserts than guests. I've since made it a holiday rule here at the Lounge that we have to have at least as many desserts as folks at the table. I made pumpkin and eggnog pies and Paul made green tea ice cream, so we covered those bases. We picked up an eleven pound turkey, so we should be eating that for a while! Paul made the stuffing and cranberry sauce and I took care of the sweet potato and green bean casseroles. It was yummy, which is a good thing, because there's lots left!
