More desserts! We began the celebration of Paul's birthday last Thursday (birthdays last a month or so around the Lounge) and here is his first birthday cake of the year!



I'm particularly proud of this one because both the cake and frosting were made from scratch. That's not because of any militant cooking tendencies on my part, but rather because I was sort of out of money at the time. We had flour, sugar, eggs and the other necessary ingredients and the cake wasn't much more work than a cake mix. The frosting was slightly more involved than opening a can, but it was still really easy. The frosting is a yummy lime flavor, which is perfect for this cake, don't you think?
