It always amuses me how many of my culinary creations spring from a desire to NOT go to the supermarket. That is certainly true of this broccoli dip:



Friday was a busy day for me and, even though the market is about 90 seconds from our house, it seems as if any trip there lasts at least 45 minutes. No thanks. Fortunately we had plenty of raw materials for appetizers in the kitsch-en, including broccoli, plain yogurt, garlic, black olives and a full spice rack. It came out great and we scarfed it down!
