We have two pupu platters: the old-school, multi-tiered wooden one and the one you see contemporarily in Chinese restaurants, with the Sterno stove. We love ordering pupu platters in Chinese restaurants and I've tried making individual pupus at home, but this was my first attempt at making everything on a pupu platter myself:

Included here are wings (with my own tropical BBQ sauce), shrimp, scallion pancakes, with dipping sauce, and my version of Cheese Monas, which are an appetizer served at Ken Chin's in Worcester, MA and a huge hit with the folks we know. I've tried two variations so far and am getting closer to the actual item, but, in the meantime, the pupu platter was a hit!
