It felt like fall here this week, which puts me in the mood to cook. I made lots of new dishes, including a spicy chicken that was really easy and good, but this is what I managed to photograph, Ginger Carrot Soup:



I was thumbing through a magazine at my mother-in-law's house and found this recipe, which she was more than happy to let me tear out. It's chock full of veggies and has a lot of ginger, so it's great for your sinuses! I normally add a bunch of spices to soups, but all I added (beyond the fresh ginger, salt and pepper called for in the recipe) was some red pepper flakes. It was easy and yummy. I'll be making this one again!
