We recently featured the joys of molded gelatin in the Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en, but this time I'm using it to illustrate the joys of a stocked pantry.



A common theme in my life is avoiding the supermarket, not because I don't like it--I do--but it's always really crowded. Paul had been asking about dessert and I was able to make some without leaving the house because I had a box of Jell-O and a can of pears in the pantry. You can't really see the pears in this picture, but they're definitely there. The Jell-O was served, topped with whipped topping that I'd stashed in the freezer for just such an occasion.
