More from the Hawaii Kai Cookbook, this time Banana Cream Dessert:



I love how this looks complicated, but really only involves a few steps. You pretty much prepare gelatin, add three mashed bananas, some sugar and lemon juice, then some heavy cream, which has been whipped until it's stiff. Pour into the mold and let it harden. It's light and sweet, but not overly so, which is nice. We may not be able to visit the late, lamented Hawaii Kai, but it's fun that we can at least cook some of their dishes!
