
It's been hot and I've been busy. You know what that means: salads!

I'm not one of those people who refuses to cook when it gets hot, but combine an already broiling kitchen (we have to be having a hurricane before this house has anything you could call a cross breeze) with a killer schedule and salads suddenly become the perfect meal. They lend themselves to just about anything you want to throw in, which is also handy. Lately I've added Spam, hard boiled eggs, olives, nuts, raisins--it's always different and whatever we have on hand. Here's tonight's salad. Bon appetit!
